Lennart Lundstedt (pictured on the left) Thank you, Knight, for my first undisturbed night’s
sleep in the Kosine Mountains. The hunting guests soon sighed under the torment of mosquitoes and black
flies – wilderness scourge number one. The fact is that I prefer
to deal with irritated bears and savage wolves. Well, I didn’t have
the heart to tell them what was waiting for us when evening came and it
was time to go to sleep. Evening came and the torment of mosquitoes became
worse and worse. In my pack I had a prototype for an anorak with built-in
mosquito protection – made by Knight. I unpacked it, pulled it
over my head – my hat got to stay on my head – pulled up the
hood, took the solidly assembled facial netting out of the breast pocket,
got a hold of the zipper grip and closed the net in front of my face.
A wonderfully liberating feeling took hold. Outside mosquitoes and black
flies were swarming. There I was inside – inaccessible for sucking
snouts and the biting fly jaws. My hunting guests desperately looked for
protection in their tents and fought an uneven fight against the blood-thirsty
flies, which succeeded in slipping in through the openings despite every
preventative measure imaginable. I just kept the anorak on, of course.
Fantastic! It meant quite simply the difference between a really good
night’s sleep and hardly any sleep at all. I have promised Lars Björkman at
Knight to give my opinion of their new anorak. Here
it comes… Lennart Lundstedt |
